Location. Bahia Mar enjoys a beachside setting, just one block from Andy Bowie Park on South Padre Island in Texas. With some of the best beaches along the Gulf of Mexico, South Padre Island stretches over 25 miles and features a number of great museums and historical sites. Watersports are popular, with surfing, fishing, sailing and windsurfing all available in the area. Other outdoor pursuits include tennis, golf and horseback riding. The Laguna Madre is the body of water between the island and the mainland and features some of the best fishing in the state in its shallow waters.
Hotel Features. Settled on 15 lush acres, the resort features a garden walk dotted with fountains that leads to the beach. Unique architecture fuses nature with Art Deco-styling, all surrounding a unique outdoor pool, complete with a children's section and a large sundeck. Seasonal big band music is provided and spring break brings live bands and daily poolside parties.
