| Noosa Heads is known for its beautiful waterways, pristine beaches and tranquil natural beauty. Visit the Australia Zoo where you can watch wild crododiles being hand fed, the Sunshine Plantation, or wander through the charming mountain village of Montville with a myriad of art galleries, pottery studios and antique shops. Spend a day on a tour of the Sunshine Wine Trail exploring the Sunshine Coast's wineries. The Noosa River is the ideal spot for fishing and the Everglades is perfect for a relaxing scenic cruise. For the more adventuristic visitors, jet skis, wave runners and wake boards are available for hire from many of the jetties along the river bank. Noosa and the surrounding area also offers golf, catamaranning, surfing, snorkeling, whale watching, camel and horseback riding, and sea kayaking. The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is home to over 130 Koalas, the largest koala sanctuary in the world. Here you can handfeed kangaroos and see other native animals as well.
