Charm and comfort await guests in this beautifully furnished Victorian North Carolina bed and breakfast in the North Carolina mountain town of Saluda. Guests will enjoy rocking on the wraparound porch, reading in the library, or simply relaxing in the grass. The Oaks B&B is the perfect place for a North Carolina vacation. Only 35 minutes from Asheville and the Biltmore House, 30 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, five miles from Pearsons Falls, 23 miles from DuPont Forest which has five waterfalls, and only ten miles from tubing on the Green River. The Oaks B&B was built in 1895 for a local banker. In 1908 it was turned into one of the thirty-seven hotels and boarding houses that dominated Saluda in its heyday from 1880 to 1930. Originally guests came to Saluda to escape the heat and malaria of the low country and the cities of Charleston and Savannah. Today they still come to escape the heat and enjoy the mountain breezes. They also come to visit waterfalls, the Biltmore Estate, or go antiquing. Guests of the inn will enjoy a full breakfast that is served on fine china along with coffee and tea. After breakfast, guests are welcome to use the library and browse through the books. The library has a wonderful gas fireplace with plush furniture upholstered in silk to provide a cozy atmosphere for the guests. It also features a ten light crystal chandelier and an Oriental rug with the windows draped in red damask. Guests will enjoy relaxing at the inn.
Guests will relax in style and comfort when staying at The Oaks B&B. All rooms are attractively furnished with period and antique furniture, four poster beds, cable TV, and private baths. Rooms also come with air conditioning, alarm clock radio, ceiling fan, hair dryer, and smoke detectors. Guests can relax in their rooms or watch the stars twinkle in the sky on their balcony/patio. They can also settle in for the night in their fluffy bathrobe provided by the inn.
**The standard room features three single beds for sleeping accommodations.** **This property requires a two-night minimum stay for all Friday and Saturday arrivals.
