| Skaneateles is a quiet town just outside of Syracuse and in the Finger Lakes area. Shopping and galleries line the downtown streets, mostly in restored buildings, some dating back to the 1700's. Taverns and restaurants with excellent food tempt your taste buds and more. Parks, playgrounds, tennis courts and even ice skating rinks provide plenty of entertainment. Fishing from one of the piers, or just appreciating the view is a common occurrence. In the summer is when Skaneateles really comes to life. With parks and lakes all around, it's a great place to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. There are plenty of festivals and other events to keep everyone occupied as well. If anything else one desires is missing in Skaneateles, nearby Syracuse can easily fill up the void.
