Hotel Features. This Victorian home was built in 1905 by Daniel Best, a Justice of the Peace, for his wife, Sarah. After passing through six families, the inn underwent extensive restoration in 1985. A porch overlooks the inn's garden, and a side-yard hammock is available for guest's use. Sherry and homemade cookies are served next to a crackling fire in the guest parlor. Complimentary country breakfast buffets are offered daily.
Guestrooms. All units at the Whistling Swan Inn have queen featherbeds, with the possibility of brass, sleigh, or four-poster styles. Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access, telephones, data ports, and cable televisions with VCRs. Bathrobes and complimentary coffee are included.
