The Inn at the Shore is a child-friendly bed and breakfast located one half-mile from Silver Lake and three miles from the Atlantic Ocean in Belmar, N.J. Belmar's wide beautiful beaches and boardwalk are within walking distance, as well as shops, restaurants and the Pyanoe Plaza. Fishing charters are available at the Belmar Marina. Guests with children will find plenty of attractions, activities and playgrounds in the area.
Hotel Features. A charming Victorian home built circa 1880, The Inn at the Shore is cheerfully decorated with antiques, floral fabrics and wallpaper, and ruffled curtains and quilts. The innkeepers have lovingly displayed their collection of teddy bears and angels throughout the house. Antique rocking chairs complement a wraparound porch, and the living room features an entertainment center and fieldstone fireplace. A freshwater aquarium adorns the main dining room. A pantry with refrigerator, microwave and hot tap for tea or coffee overlooks the cafe-style brick patio. Each morning a generous complimentary breakfast is served, and snacks and beverages are available throughout the day.
Guestrooms. Each guestroom is decorated to make the guests feel welcome and at home. Fluffy bathrobes and high-speed Internet access are provided in all rooms, and some have fireplaces and cable televisions.
Expert Tip. The Spring Lake Theatre Company, located just two miles from The Inn on the Shore, is attracting widespread acclaim for its top-rate productions, and has been hailed as one of the best local theaters around.
