Location. The Marco Beach Ocean Resort in Marco Island, Fla., is located on a barrier island in southeast Florida, on the edge of the Everglades and 20 miles from shopping in downtown Naples. Golf and tennis are available three miles from the resort and charter-fishing and boating tours are also three miles from the resort.
Hotel Features. One of the most luxurious properties along the Gulf of Mexico, this Italian Renaissance-inspired resort offers old-world charm, Mediterranean- style decor and original art and antiques. On-site amenities include a health spa, and a fitness center with cardiovascular equipment and circuit machines, free weights, sauna and steam room. Guests can relax by the pool with whirlpool spa, sundeck and poolside bar. Guests can also swim in the gulf or relax on the beach. Beach rentals include chairs, umbrellas, jet skis and parasails. This Marco Island resort also boasts beachfront dining, meeting rooms, business services center and access to golf, tennis and boating.
Guestrooms. Graciously appointed and exquisitely furnished, each guest suite features a marble shower and separate tub, in-room safes, floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, multiple telephone lines with high-speed Internet access and European cabinets. Each fully equipped kitchen has appliances and a stocked refreshment cabinet. Other features include a separate living room, private balcony or patio, cable television and bathrobes. Room service is available.
Expert Tip. The Sale e Pepe restaurant has a dual dress code. On the formal side of the restaurant, jackets, collared shirts and slacks are required for gentlemen, and dresses or evening pants are required for ladies. On the casual side, there is a more relaxed dress code; however, shorts, jeans, T-shirts and tank tops are not permitted.
