Surrounding the inn are majestic oak, cedar, and pine trees marking the edge of the Stanislaus National Forest and Emigrant Wilderness. To best care for their guests, the innkeepers keep one essential theme in mind: warmth and comfort. The country-style inn has a charm that makes every guest feel at home both at the inn and in the picturesque town of Twain Harte. General gathering areas are spacious and tastefully decorated, with a large collection of furniture and art acquired during the innkeepers travels. Accommodations include a full breakfast, served in the Inn's dining room. Its warm decor makes the room a friendly gathering place. Guests enjoy a variety of menus prepared by the innkeepers. On sunny days, guests may be served on the inn's spacious deck with its views of the California mountain forests and the sound of the natural stream flowing nearby.
Each guest room is artfully decorated in an accent of colors borrowed from the queen or king sized quilts, handmade by the Amish of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Each room has a black iron fire stove providing cozy warmth on cool evenings or creating a romantic ambiance year-round. They also offer complimentary DSL wireless Internet. All guest rooms are appointed with a phone, TV, cable, and VCR's. A complimentary library of videos is available for guests' use.
