This 5-room inn is tucked under majestic cedar and oak trees on a serene ivy-covered hillside within the quaint historic district of Julian. The 3-acres offer a beautiful view of the countryside and are within walking distance of the town. When you arrive at Butterfield B&B, you are welcomed like an old friend. Enjoy the collection of antiques, but especially the aromas of homemade desserts and breakfast. Winters often bring a dusting of snow, spring sends the extensive rose gardens into full bloom, summer breezes welcome the starlit nights and fall turns the trees into a blaze of color. A popular feature of the Inn is the romantic Horse Drawn Carriage Ride into Julian for dinner or through the peaceful countryside. The inn offers special amenities to guests in the back porch pantry; refrigerator with cream, filtered water, apples & oranges, and ice, microwave oven, stemware, flatware, complementary coffees, tea, cider, cocoa, popcorn and dessert in the afternoon. The famous country gourmet breakfast is served in the garden gazebo during the summer and near the crackling hearth when winter sets in.

Continue for 21 miles, then turn right onto CA-78/CA-79. Turn right onto Whispering Pines Drive. Turn sharp right onto Sunset Drive and continue until you reach the property.
